What's an SSA Fee?
An SSA fee is charged to homeowners to fund the roads, sidewalks, sewers, and other infrastructure improvements in a newly developed community. When this cost is passed down to homeowners, they are assessed an annual tax to pay off these improvements and end up paying, on average, an extra $150/month or $1800/year on their Real Estate Tax Bill.
At Sunset Lakes, these improvements have been prepaid by the developer – and are not charged back to you to pay for over time.
