Our History
Vincent and Martin Costello of Grange Development are not new-comers to home building. In fact, they grew up in the business! Both developed skills in the carpentry trade early on, and during their high school, college, and post-college years, worked hard with their father who was a carpenter contractor and home builder in Chicago and the southwest suburbs.
In his footsteps, Vincent and Martin formed their own business, Grange Development. In their over 23 years as carpenter contractors, they have built hundreds of beautiful homes throughout the Southwest suburbs of Chicago - including Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox, Peotone, Green Garden, Shorewood, Joliet and Frankfort.
Grange Development Today
Grange Development has remained strong through good and bad economic times. We feel we've stood the test of time because our goals are simple:

In addition, we run a lean, efficient operation - with much less overhead than many other area builders. We save money in our day-to-day operations, and we happily pass these savings on to our clients.
How are we different from other builders?
Some builders need to hire carpentry crews to frame their homes. Grange Construction actually provides rough framing services for several other premier Lincolnway home builders, so this is not necessary a bad thing. We feel, however, that you benefit from working with a home builder that 1) delivers expertise in the carpentry trade and 2) handles the rough framing in-house. Why? Look at the homes we build...you'll find no cookie-cutter homes in our portfolio.
We customize a home plan to your exact specifications. In addition, if there's an architectural feature that you've seen on TV or in a magazine that you absolutely love, talk to us about it! Better yet, bring in a picture! We'll be upfront regarding the costs involved and will work with you to make that feature a part of your new home. It's amazing just how much you can do to make your new home everything you've always wished for when you have a team of carpenters at your side!
